The early 90s were an era of change. Factories stop, professions lose relevance, and young engineers on automation of chemical production understand: it is impossible to continue. The future is in business.
The first idea comes unexpectedly: flippers. The proximity to the Volga makes them a popular commodity, and the first batch flies away instantly. Then three entrepreneurs decide: it’s time to start their own production.

Swimming is great, but swimming season in Russia is short. To develop further, you need a product that is in demand all year round.

At this time, there is a factory in the city that has been sewing shoes for the army for decades. After the reduction of military orders, production is idle, and hundreds of skilled workers risk losing their jobs.

The solution comes by itself: ski boots. In a country where skiing is a compulsory subject in the school curriculum, the demand for it will not run out. So begins the new chapter of SPINE.

2017 - SPINE becomes world leader

At this point, SPINE is the world’s largest manufacturer of ski boots. More than 1 million couples a year go to stores across Russia and Europe.

A new factory with advanced equipment is being launched. In close cooperation with Western partners, the quality of products is improved, and feedback from users helps make shoes even more comfortable, stronger and more technologically advanced.

“For many years we produced shoes under foreign brands, but at some point we said to ourselves: “We have the best equipment, we have a strong team, we are close to the best ski slopes – it’s time to make the best shoes in the world!”

This is how the SPINE Ultimate project is born – shoes for professionals who challenge world leaders.

2019 SPINE Custom Fit: Boots Made for You

Ski shoes have always been chosen from what is on the market. But what if you make shoes that are perfect for you?

SPINE launches SPINE Custom Fit, a technology for customized ski shoes. It all starts with a 3D foot scan, then a unique shoe and carbon sole are created, and the client chooses the color and design.

2023 – SPINE Running: a new generation of running shoes

Running is one of the most popular sports in the world. And Spine couldn't stay away.
Over the years, a team of engineers, athletes and designers developed their first collection of running shoes. As a result, four models were born:
- Carbon Pro - for high-speed races
Titanium - lightness and strength
Corsa - a universal model for training
Rift - reliability and depreciation

We set out to create sneakers that are comfortable, stylish and durable. To do this, we developed our own production of foam soles and attracted the strongest specialists — Dmitry Vargin

From a small company that started with the sale of flippers to an international leader in the production of sports shoes, the path of SPINE is impressive. But there is no stopping on what has been achieved in the plans.
