The Strategic Initiatives Agency (SAI), together with the STI Platform and the RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is conducting a competition for the best technological decisions and practices of BRICS countries in various areas of BRICS Solutions Awards.

The participants will present drafts in eight nominations:

• New industry and energy
• Biotechnology and health of the nation
• The sky, space and communications technology
• Artificial intelligence and digital services
• Climate and environmental technologies
• Platforms and integrated solutions for government and public administration
• Competences and staff development
• Cognitive technologies and creative economies

Russia has become the venue for a competition on the rights of the Chairman country of BRICS.

“BRICS Solutions Awards — the development of an independent and multipolar cooperation system, for which it is important to create, improve and introduce new technologies that meet the needs and interests of the BRICS countries — is addressed by the Director-General of the Strategic Initiatives Agency, Svetlan Chupsev.

For the first time, the " creative economy " has been listed. It will consider projects on technology development for creative content.

Applications for competitive bidding are made before 31 July on the website bricsawards.tech♪ The expert evaluation of the projects will begin on 1 July, for which a qualified international jury will be formed on the platform.

The outcome of the competition and the winning ceremony will take place at the BRICS Business Forum, to be held in Moscow in October 2024 in advance of the BRICS summit.

BRICS Solutions Awards was first held in 2020 during Russia ' s chairmanship of the BRICS association at the initiative of ASI and the support of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Since then, it has been taking place in BRICS Co-Chair Countries. India and China took place in 2021 and 2022.
