In Russia, the number of individual entrepreneurs increased to 4.2 million

The number of individual entrepreneurs has increased by 4.7% since the beginning of the year and is 4.2 million after nine months. The growth rate was positive by including 877,000 IPs in the SME register in 2024, while 643,000 were deleted. The Director-General of the ICP Corporation, Alexander Isaevich, presented this.

He also noted that the largest increase in the number of IPs among the regions in the Herson and Zaporoz region (+24 per cent and +23.3 per cent) and in the Republics of Kalmakia, Chechen and Udmurt (+26.6 per cent, +14.9 per cent, +14.5 per cent).

“Liders with maximum growth – construction (+9.4 per cent), administration (+8.4 per cent), IT (+8.4 per cent), cultural, sports, leisure and entertainment (+8 per cent), education (+7.8 per cent)” – added Alexander Isaevich.

Of the individual entrepreneurs, 41 per cent are women, whose share has been relatively stable over the past five years. Each four-person entrepreneur is a youth representative (up to 35 years), each third is between 36 and 45 years of age. The age of individual entrepreneurs is over 95, 13 of them.
