Strengthening bridges of cooperation: The Jaroslava region and India are developing economic relations within the framework of the Jubilee Project
A significant meeting was held on economic cooperation between the Jaroslav region and the Republic of India. This event was part of the “Voyage@555” project, which celebrates the 555th anniversary of the travel of the famous Russian traveller, Afanasia Nikitin.
Representatives of both sides attended the meeting. Nair Ratish, Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation and Director of the Russian House in Triwandrum, as well as Chuckkalingam Ravicandran, Secretary-General of the South Indian Business Council for Cooperation with Russia, participated from the Indian side. From the Yaroslav region, Ivan Nujdin, Governor of Jaroslav province, Deputy Minister of Investment and Industry of Storozev A.V., Deputy Chief of Industrial Policy and External Economic Activities of Balashov D.S., attended the meeting. Discussion of financial programmes to support exports from India to Russia will improve trade relations and increase mutual trade.
The meeting began with brief presentations by representatives of both sides, followed by a video link with Indian partners. The main outcome of the meeting was to find common points for collaboration in financial support programmes for exports from India to Russia, to plan joint exhibitions and activities in the food industry, and to support their participation. For further cooperation and negotiations, representatives of countries exchange a list of businessmen and corporations.
The planning of joint exhibitions and activities in the food industry will provide additional opportunities for both countries ' enterprises to present their products in new markets, thus enhancing business contacts and sharing experiences. Supporting participation in these activities will ensure closer interaction and understanding between the business community of the two regions, a key aspect of successful international cooperation.
