Tatiana Ilumshnikova: The My Business Portal became the second most popular online business platform
At a press conference in the TAS, the Russian Federation Business Education Industry Leaders presented the results of a joint study by the Russian Federation, Sbera and the Major Opinion Foundation. The study " Russian mediators: research monitoring " focuses on the development of the market for business education in Russia following the third quarter of 2024.
" Today, knowledge for entrepreneurs is the most valuable capital. It is largely because of continuous learning, financial literacy that starters can overcome the " death rate " in the first two years of life, and businessmen can create a sustainable business model and scale up their business. Studies indicate that almost 80 per cent of entrepreneurs lack knowledge, so Russia has a wide-ranging line of educational support for all categories and businesses. The training takes place at my Business Centres, SME, RF, The Rocks. Business, financial literacy programmes are being implemented from Minfin RF in conjunction with the Bank of Russia and other agencies. The study showed that 71 per cent of entrepreneurs noticed positive changes in business after learning.” noted the Deputy Minister for Economic Development of Russia, Tatiana Ilushnikov.
For example, 41 per cent of businessmen have improved business processes, 30 per cent have increased income and expenditure, 25 per cent have increased the number of partners and suppliers, 19 per cent have increased the recognition of their products and services.
As a result of the study, 83 per cent of the knowledge-deficit companies are small businesses with annual turnover to 5 million roubles, the most important in the market. The need for training is more common for those who are just about to open their case (30 per cent). This request can be compared with the need for start-up capital (59 per cent) and organizational and legal support (28 per cent).
" Most entrepreneurs lack the knowledge of public support, legal, tax and accounting information, professional knowledge in the specialization of their business and financial literacy. They also seek ways and information to protect against fraud. Small and medium-sized enterprises are interested in knowledge about taxation and accounting. It is important for them to choose a system that would minimize taxes and simplify tax and accounting records " , noted by the Vice-President of Sbank Anatoly Popov ' s Board.
The study showed differences in the assessment of their knowledge among different age groups. Entrepreneurs over the age of 56 are less aware of the lack of knowledge (72 per cent). Young entrepreneurs are more likely to study until 40 years - 52%. And only 30 per cent of those over 56 years of age plan to study further.
Among the preferred business training formats, most entrepreneurs (58 per cent) use online platforms. Webinars with the opportunity to ask questions, articles and blogs, television channels, lectures and successful entrepreneurs in real time were particularly highlighted. For example, the top five of the most popular educational online platforms among entrepreneurs included the Marquetples, My Business, Skillbox, SME. Rf, Neology.
" The information resources of the Business Centres are leaders not only of the public education programmes of other agencies, but also of major market players. For us, competition is the key to success. We are carefully studying our target audience, building programmes on the basis of feedback from business, knowing what topics are of interest to entrepreneurs and what formats they fit. When there are no competitors, there are no incentives for evolution and development, so we continually develop our programmes, improve the quality of education services, and impose increasing demands on Speakers. In two years, 63 webinars on the portal and in the social media of My Business have looked more than 1.7 million times, reported by the Deputy Minister for Economic Development of the Russian Federation. Speakers noted new trends in the business market.
" Business education today is not just about learning and soft skills, but rather a focus on metacompetence: interdisciplinary knowledge, stress, flexibility of thinking, ability to withstand high loads, etc. When you come to a modern university, you'll be in the space of the future. You're loaded with the atmosphere that society will live in five to ten, maybe 20 years. And I mean not modern buildings, namely, knowledge, skills, competence, the environment that prevails at the university and is created under certain conditions, including by the listeners themselves. This leadership environment, which includes non-creative, experience-sharing and skills-sharing, is explained by the Director of Public Affairs of NIS, Roman Levković.
The press conference was also attended by Alexander Lindh, Director-General of the Korp Skils (Lerna), and the managing partner of the online platform Distant Global Natalia Abby.
