It is important for the State to obtain a modern statistical platform with a single indicator register and a system of inter-agency reference guides. The Minister for Economic Development of Russia, Maxim Rechetnikov, commented on the outcome of the strategic session on the development of the Russian Federation until 2030. Mikhail Misustin, President of the Government, conducted it.

According to the Prime Minister, statistics are a key instrument for assessing the social and economic situation, forging public policies and for making management decisions.

" Our primary objective is to ensure the objectivity and timeliness of statistics. It is also necessary to monitor as quickly as possible any changes in the economy and, of course, to react immediately to changes in circumstances, especially in the face of unprecedented sanctions, " noted Michael Misustin, adding that, in order to increase confidence in official statistics, data need to be systematized, understood and relevant.

" It is important that people be able to use reliable and verified information despite the continued growth in the number of sources and data types " , emphasized by Michael Mischustin.

The Minister of Economic Development of Russia, Maxim Rechetnikov, clarified that the stated tasks included the updating of all statistical processes and the development of the IT infrastructure.

" The effects of changing statistical methodology, the development of the IT infrastructure of Rosst, the implementation of the data quality standard will be achieved in the next three years. After that, in the second stage, we will be able to move to internal transformation of the work of Rosstat. This is particularly the case in the areas of productivity, optimization of the service units, more effective work with personnel, " , which was emphasized by the head of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.

The proposed solutions would reduce the burden on business, expedite data collection and processing, publish statistics. On instructions from the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Russian Federation ' s development activities were merged into a separate project entitled " Public statistics " within the framework of the National Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State " , and added Maxim Rechetnikov.

The Chief of the Sergei Galkin Department presented key aspects of the development strategy. Priority objectives were the implementation of the data quality standard and the provision of operational statistic in modern formats on a single platform, the reduction of business burdens through the use of new sources, the strengthening of the position of Russian statistics in the world. The objectives will be achieved through 17 projects.

" In the preparation of the strategy, more than 50 strategic documents of international organizations and advanced national statistical services have been analysed. Determined the mission until 2030: the creation of operational, qualitative and relevant data for all consumers with minimum loads " , noted during the presentation of Sergei Galkin.
