The Russian Export Centre (REC, a member of WEB.RF) provided a new free online service for exporters, the Export Contract Designer. This tool is intended to significantly facilitate the preparation of foreign trade agreements, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), reducing legal risks and saving time and resources.

The " Export Contract Designer " allows, within minutes, a ready pre-filled draft contract that takes into account the individual characteristics of the transaction. The exporter shall specify the necessary parameters: the subject of the contract, the characteristics of the product, the conditions of delivery, the rights and obligations of the parties under the INTERCOTERMS, the manner of payment and other important details, and the system shall automatically generate a legally correct document. The contract may be drafted in two languages (Russian and English), which is particularly relevant for international cooperation.

" The export contract designer is not just a template, but a flexible tool adapted to the specificity of each transaction, for both goods and services. It allows exporters to focus on the development of a business without deepening into legal subtleness, and clarified the Vice-President of the REC, Alexei Solodov.

The " Export Contract Designer " will be particularly relevant for those who face difficulties in external trade contracts:

● Starting exporters: The Designer will help them to engage in the international market with confidence, avoiding common mistakes;
• Businesses without legal escort: Services will provide the necessary level of legal processing of the contract;
• Companies not familiar with the terms of the WED: an intuitively understandable interface and background information will help to understand the complexities of foreign trade.
