On 25 August, a solemn discovery was made of the main architect of the modern volleyball centre on the Frunze front in Yaroslavla. The target was built from 2020 to 2026 with the support of the Head of State, Vladimir Putin. The event was attended by the Assistant President of Russia, Nikolai Patrushev, Chief of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for National Maritime Policy, Sergey Waharuk, Governor of the Yaroslav region, Michael Evreev. The President of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation, Stanislav Shevchenko, the Mayor of Yaroslava, the main and youth players of the Yaroslavic volleyball club and others were also present.

Nikolai Patrushev gave the symbolic key to the arron to two young representatives of volleyball dynasty.

The main architect of the modern volleyball centre, with a total area of 21.5 thousand square metres, is 5,000 viewers and meets the standards of the International Volleyball Federation.

Thank you, Dmitri Mironova, who started this project, Sergei Schlapnikov and, of course, Michael Guzerieve, who, despite all economic difficulties, has fulfilled the obligations. The project, with a total cost of almost 9 billion roubles, was an example of coordinated government and private investor work. Keep moving forward. In the future, it is planned to connect the main lease with the training complex of the wing corridor, so that everything is in the same space. We also have great plans for the development of sports infrastructure: a stadium of Spartacus in Jaroslav will soon be opened, and a new stadium of Shinnik will be planned. New ice arches have been opened in Tutaev and Rybinske, FLC in Lubima, building complexes in Rostov Great, Danilova, Nekouz, Gavrilov Yama, a stadium in Borisoglebsk, in Uleima.

Hundreds of children are now involved in this sport, and I'm sure there are future champions among them, noted by Stanislav Shevchenko. - Congratulate the Yaroslavic Club, which celebrates the 35th anniversary, as well as the inhabitants of the region, with the emergence of such a magnificent centre. The main arcade playground is equipped according to the most modern standards. The cover of the taraflex holds maximum loads and fully meets the requirements for the matches of the Superigue and international tournaments. Training and rehabilitation of athletes in the complex includes a gym, a medical unit, a spacomplex and recreation areas. All this enables volleyballists to maintain the maximum shape of the year round. There are also several conference rooms, a restaurant complex and media facilities.

The first new coating was tested by sports veterans. The comrade match met the veterans of the Yaroslavic Club and the legends of the All-Russian Federation of Volleyball, who were victors. At the end of the game, a memorial medal ceremony was held in honour of the 35th anniversary of the professional status of the Yaroslavic Club, established by the well-deserved coach of Russia, Sergei Schlapnikov.

As part of the solemn discovery, a new attraction point was presented, a bronze sculpture was opened near the sports complex by the Woman-Whiteballist. The target was a continuation of a popular urban cultural and educational project.

A presentation was also made by the Vocal and Choreographical Show " Sports heroes " , with the participation of the Yaroslavic Volleyball Club, the Graduation Support Group, the Rollers and educators of the regional acrobatic, artistic gymnastics and carate sections.

Background

The first line of the volleyball centre, which includes the beach sports, the basin and the gymnasium, became operational in February 2025, and since then, the complex on its sites has already been engaged in all-Russian competitions, including the Russian Cup among women on beach volleyball, the Cup of the Governor of Jaroslava province, and other cross-regional booze competitions. In addition, the traditional spring festival of the South Dynamite movement is taking place in the area of the volleyball centre.
