The Government of the Russian Federation is working on replacing scheduled business audits with mandatory preventive visits by oversight bodies. In a meeting with the East Economic Forum, the Vice-Prime Officer, the Chief of Staff of the Government of the RF, Dmitri Grigorenko, reported this.

"The government is working on replacing routine checks with mandatory preventive visits," said the vice-premier.

According to Grigorenko, such visits will affect all monitoring facilities that are not classified as extremely high and high-risk.

He noted that the instrument of preventive visits had proved itself during the country ' s moratorium on verification. In the first half of 2024, their number increased by almost 50,000, compared to the same period of 2023, to 570,000 visits. As a result of these activities, the entrepreneur receives not a fine but a counselling and a rectification order, and added a vice-premier.
