The SME Corporation provided banks with an additional 2.3 billion roubles of ozone sponsorship to lend to small and medium-sized businesses in border regions (Kur, Belgorod and Bryan). This limit will allow SMEs to attract an additional 4.6 billion bank loans by the end of the year.

" In the three border regions, we have a high request for concessional credit with banks. An additional targeted " zone-based " sponsorship will help business by sharing risks with the Corporation to attract the necessary funding. Funds could be channelled to investment projects or revolved " , stated by the Director-General of the SME Corporation, Alexander Isaevich, noting that, at the end of October, some 200 credit contracts of more than 2 billion roubles had been concluded by entrepreneurs on concessional terms.

Business can be credited by applying to one of the programme ' s partner banks: PAO Sberbank, AO " ALFA-BANK " , WTB Bank, PAO " Project Linkbank " , AO " SME Bank " .

We recall also that, in August, the SME Corporation, together with the CB, launched a concessional lending programme for the small and medium-sized business of the three border areas, which opened up access to funding of at least 10 billion roubles.

Under the programme, entrepreneurs can obtain a credit of up to 30 million roubles at a rate not exceeding the key (the flat rate is 1 year). The " umbrella " sponsorship of the SME Corporation covers an entrepreneurial bank up to 50 per cent of credit security. The " zone-based " sponsorship mechanism was launched on behalf of President Vladimir Putin in 2021 and is being implemented through the national project " Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise " .
