The Ministry of Labour has prepared a new version of the draft law on the experiment on voluntary social insurance for self-employed persons in case of temporary incapacity. The document (at the offices) was submitted to the public council at Mindre in September, and was presented to the Vedomas by a source familiar with the discussion. The introduction of the bill to the Government is scheduled to take place in October 2024, followed by the submission. The experiment begins on 1 January 2026 and its end coincides with the completion of the " occupational income tax " scheduled for 31 December 2028. The insurance contribution schedule is proposed to be set at 3.84 per cent of the premium, which will amount to 35,000 or 50,000 roubles. The monthly payment is therefore 1,344 or 1,920 roubles. It is proposed to apply lower and upwarding factors (so-called bonus mallus).
