Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation: in the next four years, EEA countries are planning to establish a common market for goods
Another meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council was held in Yerevan.
The Prime Ministers of the Eurasian Five reviewed a wide range of economic cooperation issues within the framework of EEA, the main areas of industrial cooperation until 2030, the concept of the exchange market for goods and the rules of information exchange.
The meeting focused on the functioning of the Union ' s domestic market, industrial, transport, customs, agricultural and energy interfaces.
" The Union ' s internal market is becoming increasingly important for Member States. During the first half of this year, the trade in trade in the Five increased by 5.7 per cent, while the share of national currencies in the calculations now stands at around 90 per cent, the head of the Russian delegation, President of the Government, Michael Mischustin, said during the meeting.
According to the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the Union ' s GDP increased by 4.6% in the first half of the year.
" In order to improve the predictability of mutual supplies, the Heads of Government decided to develop trade based on the balance of demand and supply of basic agricultural products - grain, egg, vegetables, sugar, berries and fruit - commented on the outcome of the meeting by the Minister for Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Maxim Rechetnikov. - This food security mechanism has agreed to extend for the next year. At the same time, the list of items on which the " balance " is agreed is to be expanded. The expansion of milk, meat and potatoes is now agreed. "
Another important decision of the meeting, he said, was the adoption of the Concept for the Common Market for Goods. The EEA countries expect to establish such a market by 2028. All traders in each of the countries of the Union will have " diversified " access to bids and increased opportunities for mutual supply through the use of world-friendly market prices.
" In industry, it was decided to develop industrial, technological and export cooperation in EEA, which emphasized Maxim Rechetnikov. - Transport has approved a plan of action for the next three years. These include the establishment of a seamless transit system and the introduction of digital technologies in international transport in the EEA area, as well as the development of measures to modernize rail and road transport routes that will help to increase traffic volumes and speed up transit of goods.
In the energy sector, the Union said that it had completed the establishment of a legal framework for the launching of the overall energy market of EEA with predictable trade rules for all participants and a simplified system of mutual supply. At the meeting of the Heads of Government of the Eurasian Five, the Information Exchange Rules were agreed to facilitate the work of the general energy market through electronic documentation among the EEA partners.
The meeting was attended by the Heads of Government of Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Russia, the Prime Ministers of the observer countries to EEA, Cuba and Uzbekistan, and the leadership of Iran, a State interested in long-term partnership with the Union.
