The " Open Business Dialogue with Government Officials " , which was opened today by Vice-Prime Officer Dmitri Chernaschenko, was held following the strategic sessions of the Russian Union of the Industry.

The Minister of Economic Development, Maxim Rechetnikov, at the meeting, reported on the implementation of the business climate change road map in tourism and the new initiatives to be complemented. Among them are a number of changes in the travel of buses.

A road map for the transformation of the business climate in tourism has been developed on instructions from the President. To this end, a working group has been established, which includes representatives of tourism and industry associations. The document was approved in January 2024. Initially, there were 15 activities.

" We have already implemented the road map and are preparing the next package. We have included in the TDC an initiative to delineate responsibility between the tour operator, travel agents and third parties. We agree with federal counterparts on a draft regulation on the optimization of electronic travel, on the composition of the information provided, and we expect this to be adopted in the third quarter. On tourist buses, it is proposed that the TIR should add changes to the Road Safety Act so that tourist buses can move along the designated strips and park near the Tour Shows. " informed Maxim Rechetnikov.

The Minister also added that acts had been developed and submitted to the Government to install non-returns in hotels, as well as to expand the list of documents when they were admitted to the hotel, including the foreign passport, the QR code of passport, the military ticket and the driver ' s licence.
The Minister noted that meetings with the tourism business had already become regular. One year ago, such a dialogue took place in the framework of the Travel Forum, and in December 2023 in the anniversary of the RST.

" By thanking such meetings, you and I have prepared enough and launched an electronic travel tour operators, on the turns of tour operators in the field of internal and entry tourism. We have also launched a mechanism to pay foreigners for services in Russia, the so-called " tourist card " . We have created this opportunity, and now we agree with each country, " noted Maxim Rechetnikov.

The Minister recalled that, at the request of the business, a photobank for tourists had also been created and a list of services extended to 0 per cent of VAT through one hotel accommodation check had been expanded.
