Maxim Rechetnikov: on the basis of the supply economy, growth in investment for domestic production
One of the main results of the Government ' s work in 2023 was the sustainability and growth of the economy, and the main challenge this year is to achieve the stability of that growth.
The Minister for Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Maxim Rechetnikov, commented on the outcome of the report of the Chairman of the Government, Michael Mischustin, in the State Duma.
" The main point of view is the sustainability of our economy, the economic growth we saw last year, which continues this year. Our main challenge is to continue to make sure that growth is stable to meet people ' s expectations. " The Head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation said.
He stressed that, above all, this was related to the economic development of the proposal, a task that the President had set for PIPEF-2023, which had become the key for the Government. In particular, the model is to attract investment to increase domestic production.
The report discussed existing investment support tools, investment protection and promotion agreements, the use of FNL funds, the Project Fund Fabrication.
Maxim Rechetnikov noted that investment had increased by almost 10 per cent in comparable prices last year.
" This year, it is not easy because there are high interest rates that affect investment activity. Our task is to use existing tools and to subsidize interest rates and long-term guarantees for investors to ensure that investment projects continue. We are focused on this by the Government " , he emphasized.
The Minister drew attention to the fact that, just last week, the results of a large selection of tourism projects totalling some 900 billion roubles were summarized.
" This is what will enable our citizens, hotels, mining resorts, savaparks, etc., to sustain the economy. "
According to Maxim Rechetnikov, it is important to continue working on these projects at a time when new national project proposals are being prepared to follow up on the President ' s message to the Federal Assembly.
" It has now been very important to calibrate programmes in order to maximize the impact of economic support and, in general, socio-economic development. "
