At the beginning of the summer, a number of large companies in Russia were attacked by encryptors. This has led to disruptions in their websites, applications and terminals, and some have been forced to suspend activities for a few days. In this regard, the cyberprotect IT company interviewed about 300 representatives of Russian companies and found out how the incidents had affected company budgets in the field of information security. The results of the study are available for revision, Inc.
The survey showed that more than half (53.8 per cent) of enterprises increased the costs of cybersecurity. 37.8 per cent of companies increased the budget by 10 per cent, while 42 per cent of respondents by 25 per cent. The share of companies whose information security costs increased by 50 per cent or more was 20.2 per cent.
Mostly (82 per cent) companies invested in software. More than half 60.9 per cent of respondents reported that additional funds had been allocated for staff training, 34.4 per cent updated equipment and 30.5 per cent audited IT/IB systems.
