The Government of Russia has updated the national rate of investment climate in the regions, and has reported to the Kabmin press service.

The move would allow for a more accurate assessment of the efforts of the regional authorities to create a favourable investment climate, noted there.

The list includes 25 new indicators. The rating of regions will now depend on the number of jobs created in small businesses that are residents of business incubators, industrial parks and techno parks.

In addition, the number of competitive procurements that benefited small businesses or socially oriented non-profit organizations was added. Another new indicator is the number of self-employed citizens.

The rating will take into account the consolidated financial support for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as self-employed citizens, within the framework of the national guarantee system for small and medium-sized entrepreneurship, has been presented to the Government.

Regional non-energy exports of small and medium-sized companies will also be assessed.

The national project " Maloye and Middle Entrepreneurship " has been initiated by the President of the Russian Federation and is being co-chaired by the First Vice-Prime of the Government of the Russian Federation, Andrei Belousov.
