Earlier this day, at a plenary meeting of the Congress, which was held by Vice-Prime Dmitri Chernashenko, the winners of the VII BRICS Youth Innovators ' Competition were announced. Its objective is to identify better projects that can contribute to the development of world science and the economy and to involve as many young scientists as possible in international scientific and technical cooperation. Scientists from Brazil, China and Russia have become winners of the competition.

This year, the BRICS Youth Science Forum gathered 180 delegates, the largest number of participants in its history. This is due to the accession to the international association of new States Parties: Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, OAE and Saudi Arabia have joined BRICS since the beginning of the year.
