Investors who will reconstruct cultural heritage in an unsatisfactory state in the Jaroslav region may avail themselves of the State support offered by the Ministry of Culture of Russia and the Institute for Development of DOM.RF.

Governor Mikhail Evravev reported that the Jaroslav region had become one of the pilot regions where investors were offered special credit conditions. Partners rehabilitating certain cultural heritage sites can obtain credit at 7 per cent. This initiative seeks to attract private investment, preserve historical and cultural heritage and create a comfortable environment, as well as new attractions for residents and tourists.

The rate will be applied to 24 pilot cultural heritage sites in eight regions, including the Jaroslava region, while the rate for the remaining sites will be 17 per cent. The list of monuments participating in the programme will be announced later.

Alexei Nidens, Deputy Director-General, DOM.RF, noted that the programme would attract 300 billion roubles of extrabudgetary funds for the rehabilitation of historical buildings, while the concession rate would increase the investment attractiveness of cultural heritage sites.

Logistical credits can be obtained for design documents, restoration and adaptation of architectural monuments. Projects should be completed within 8.5 years.

DOM.RF stressed that the preservation and integration of architectural monuments into the economies of the regions would support tourism and improve the urban environment. Rehabilitation facilities should be accessible to citizens and can be used as tourist infrastructure, hotels, restaurants, administrative buildings, educational and leisure centres.

This year, DOM.RF launched a digital " legacy. rf " platform for investors interested in restoring cultural heritage. The portal provides information on more than 700 sites and will expand the catalogue to 3,000 in the future. The platform will be a single window for investor engagement with authorities, contractors and banks, speeding up the investment and construction cycle and tracking the reconstruction of facilities.

The platform already has a basic function to enable investors to choose parameter facilities, examine technical information and make investment decisions. Citizens can access reconstructed facilities and their use after rebuilding.
