Entrepreneurs ' income from the arts industry exceeded 24 billion roubles

Small and medium-sized business in the area of people ' s arts (NWP) and crafts last year earned more than 24 billion roubles. In total, according to the SME register, there are some 1,300 such entrepreneurs in the country, with a total of about 5,000 employees. The main activities are clothing, food, souvenir, wood processing. Entrepreneurs from the NCPs create articles that preserve the traditions of the arts.

In Russia, more than 35,000 SME entities are developing their own business and crafts. These are entrepreneurs who own certain crafts that sell manual work. These are, for example, stitches, tablers, jewellers, blacks and others.

There are several trends in NCPs. First, it is a woman ' s business face: women account for 67 per cent of all individual entrepreneurs. Second, the sector is stable: 73 per cent have been operating for more than three years, creating a steady carcass of the sector, making the main profits and providing employment to 96 per cent of the workforce.

" Over the past few years, the conditions for business development in NCPs have improved significantly: the flow of domestic tourism, interest in regions and national cultures has increased. The changes in the legislation create comfort conditions: the development of creative industries, the expansion of company support for NCPs, and the master can now register as self-employed by receiving appropriate preferences. An integrated approach to industry development has increased the total annual income of companies in the area of people ' s fisheries to more than 24 billion roubles " , reported by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Tatiana Ilushnikov.

Since 2016, some 100 NCP enterprises in the MinpromTrade RoF register have received subsidies for communal payments, production modernization, procurement of materials and raw materials, insurance contributions. As a result of a study of the Russian Federation ' s National Arts Industry, only financial support measures for the industry are insufficient. Assistance is needed to find markets for marketing, promotion, marketing.

In 2022, the Government of the Russian Federation increased the possibility of using a grant to NCP enterprises. Federal funds to support the production and marketing of people ' s art products can be spent on the development and updating of Internet-based magazines, Internet advertising, the creation of a trade package, the expansion and modernization of exhibition and trade spaces.

" Today, there is an increasing demand from businesses in the NCP area for training programmes, promotion assistance, consultation. Regions also actively support the development of popular arts and handicrafts. The largest number of entrepreneurs from the industry is registered in the Republic of Bashkortostan (329), the Volod region (211), St. Petersburg (193), the Leningrad region (131), Saratov province (101).

In addition to federal support measures, for example, Bashkortstan has developed its unique programmes.
