Russia and Belarus agreed to consider common consumer protection rules at the forthcoming meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Federal State. The rules are intended to establish common principles for the protection of the rights and interests of Russian and Belarusian consumers, as well as to form part of the unified legal framework of the Federal State.

This was stated by the Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Dmitri Volvac of Russia, following the third meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Federal State this year, which was held in Minsk under the leadership of the Vice-President of the Government of Russia, Alexei Owerchuk, and the Chief of the Administration of President Beloroussiy Dmitri of Coolgo.

“In the seven months of 2024, trade between our countries has reached 2.5 trillion roubles. The meeting also considered the establishment of working tools for cooperation in public procurement, as well as the problem of providing medical assistance to Russian citizens in Belarus and Belarusian citizens in Russia.
