Dmitri Volvac: In the Federal State, uniform principles will be established to protect the interests of Russian and Belarusian consumers
Russia and Belarus agreed to consider common consumer protection rules at the forthcoming meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Federal State. The rules are intended to establish common principles for the protection of the rights and interests of Russian and Belarusian consumers, as well as to form part of the unified legal framework of the Federal State.
This was stated by the Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Dmitri Volvac of Russia, following the third meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Federal State this year, which was held in Minsk under the leadership of the Vice-President of the Government of Russia, Alexei Owerchuk, and the Chief of the Administration of President Beloroussiy Dmitri of Coolgo.
“In the seven months of 2024, trade between our countries has reached 2.5 trillion roubles. The increase in both Russian exports and imports has been noted by Vice-Prime Officer Alexei Overchuk. - Work is continuing on joint investment projects. During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress of joint work on the implementation of the mutual visa recognition agreement. The Russian and Belarusian departments are currently developing technical and communication mechanisms to ensure the security of the Federal State in issuing visas to foreign nationals.
The parties commended the recent federal bodies, the Inter-State Customs Centre and the National Tax Committee, which protected economic interests and were involved in the formation of the Federal State ' s unified customs and tax space.
The meeting also considered the establishment of working tools for cooperation in public procurement, as well as the problem of providing medical assistance to Russian citizens in Belarus and Belarusian citizens in Russia.
" In the transport sphere, our countries agreed to develop border rail passenger transport between the regions of Russia and Belarus, underlined by Dmitri Volvac. - The development of transport infrastructure at fixed control posts to ensure the smooth and unhindered movement of vehicles and the further integration of traceability information systems. The meeting focused on support for cooperative and investment projects, and the preparation of passports for 30 imported projects was completed at this stage.
