The delegation of the Yaroslav region, headed by the Governor, Michael Evraev, began work at the XXVIII Petersburg International Economic Forum (PEA), held in St. Petersburg from 18 to 21 June.
The Petersburg International Economic Forum has become one of the leading business areas of the world. Much work ahead: participation in strategic sessions, conferences and plenary meetings with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, noted by the Governor of the Yaroslav region, Michael Evreev. - The forum is also planning to develop new investment projects at a record level. We will do everything we need to make the business community aware of the opportunities open to business in the Yaroslav region.
Last year, the Government of the region entered into nine investment agreements with a total value of 50.14 billion roubles. These are industrial, agro-industry, tourism, the digital economy and logistics. These plans will create more than 1,000 new jobs.
A comprehensive system of support for new projects has been introduced to support investment in the Yaroslav region: tax concessions, low-cost land leases, concessional loans. Federal measures to build the necessary infrastructure and subsidize are also actively applied.
The Petersburg International Economic Forum has been held since 1997, under the patronage and participation of the President of the Russian Federation since 2006. This year ' s main theme is " Common values are the basis for growth in a multipolar world " . Participants will also discuss the development of long-term investment instruments, the staffing deficit and transformation of the labour market, the environmental agenda, the development of neuronets, engineering and drones, new health technologies and other issues.
