In the North Caucasus Federal District (SKFO), the transition of small and medium-sized businesses to higher categories improved in 2024. Compared to last year ' s overall figures, the number of transitions increased by 9.5 per cent to 645 (+56). And if the number of transitions from small to medium-sized businesses on average fell by 36 per cent, microbusiness transitions averaged more than 1.5 times, while the increase in micro-business couples exceeded 11.5 per cent, the Director-General of the SME Corporation, Alexander Isaevich, reported in the Caucasus Investment Forum.

" The number of SME transitions from one category of business to the higher is one of the indicators that, together with other markers, enables us to objectively assess the small and medium-sized enterprise sector. In SCFO, we see that, despite the continuing sanctions, the increased core rate and other factors, there is an increase of 9.5 per cent compared with the previous year ' s rates. While the best dynamic is demonstrated by the moves from microbusiness to medium, an increase of 41 per cent over the year, Alexander Isaevich noted.
