The Vice-President of the Government, Alexandre Novak, Minister of Economic Development, Maxim Rechetnikov, and Minister of Transport, Roman Starovat, reported to the Chairman of the Government, Michael Mischustin, on the results of the work visit to the Kemero region.

As Alexander Novak noted, Kuzbas is the key region for our country ' s coal industry. There's half of Russia's coal. " Today, the coal industry is facing some difficulties with the fall of prices and the inability to take full coal to export markets. It was therefore important to assess the current situation and to work together to stabilize the situation so that the region could continue to develop. For Kuzbas, the coal industry, the main economic sector, emphasized the vice-premier.

Alexander Novak reported that the situation in the region was stable, coal companies operated on a state-level basis. They are instructed by the region to address the risks of financial sustainability of companies and to report quickly on the situation. Minfin should monitor the financial situation in the region and provide timely support where necessary.

Maxim Rechetnikov in turn reported that a new programme for the socio-economic development of the Cemero region had been prepared to date.

" It is now under consideration by the Government, and we expect it to be approved soon " , said Maxim Rechetnikov.

Alexander Novak added that the federal authorities would provide the necessary assistance to the region in implementing the new programme. Work would be under the special control of the Government, he emphasized.

The Minister of Transport, Roman Starovat, reported on the progress in the renovation of the transport infrastructure, the reconstruction of the Kemero airport airstrip, the upgrading of the airport at Novokuznetsk and the construction of the airport at Shergeša Mihail Misustin.

" The design of a new aerospace complex is now well under way. The project will be implemented by a private investor. For the federal budget, support will be provided for flat buildings, airstrips, aeronautical equipment, which has already been budgeted for the 27-30 year " , noted by Roman Starovat.

During a working visit to the Kemero region, the Government, on behalf of Mikhail Misustin, visited a number of industrial facilities, infrastructure facilities, and met with the workers, management and trade union of coal companies.

Alexander Novak also held a meeting on the socio-economic development of the region.
