Opening of orchid production and microcloned plant breeding laboratory
A unique orchid production and a microclonal plant reproduction laboratory opened up in Yaroslavla.
The site began working in the geospatial combination of the Jaroslavsky, a group of the companies Gorkunov. For the first time in Russia, the production of orchids will take place not on import but on its own landing material.
An agreement on the implementation of the project between the regional government of the Jaroslav region and TC of the Jaroslava was concluded at the Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2024.
| Investments | 2.5 billion roubles |
| Number of jobs | more than 30 food. |
| Time frame | 2024-2028 Mm-hmm. |
As a result, 5 hectares have an innovative production site that will provide a full cycle of orchid production, ranging from cell to coloured plant. All production is automated. The site uses advanced microclimate control technologies, lighting, irrigation and fertilizer systems. They work real-time, reducing the impact of the human factor on product quality and increasing the efficiency of flower production.
The Yugoslav production of orchids is completely independent of the import of seeds and landing material. Unlike a number of domestic producers who buy and grow orchids, Yaroslav has a full production cycle. The planting material is released in its own microclonal reproduction laboratory. This method enables the generation of quality and resistant plants.
In the future, the company intends to reconstruct seven hectares of greenhouses for the production of anthuriums and decorative-literary exotic mountain flowers. By 2028, the combination is expected to produce 4.5 million plenops and 6 million rose pots, which will increase annual sales to 5.5 billion roubles.
The Jaroslava TC has been actively developing the flower route since 2017, introducing advanced technologies, including robotic compounds and microclonal reproduction, which has enabled the transition to its own landing material. Among the achievements in the heat mix is the unique production of peas roses and now the orchids.
