“Can you make it look beautiful?”

That was the beginning of the Ccover story. The company appeared in Yaroslavl in 2018 and became one of the first Russian manufacturers of cosmetic skins for prosthetic limbs. Over the years, the project has gone from an engineering experiment in a 3D printing studio to a sustainable business working at the intersection of medicine, design and social technology. Today, Ccover develops products that help people with amputations feel more confident, both externally and internally.


How it all started.

In 2018, the 3D printing studio Techno3D was approached by a client - a carrier of a hip prosthesis, who wanted to make his prosthetic product not only functional, but also aesthetic. He found a template on the Internet and decided that only 3D printing could bring it to life. The request became a challenge for the team - there were simply no such products in Russia, and there was nothing to rely on. Inspired by the task, the engineers began their own development. So the client became the ideological inspirer of the project and the first patient of Ccover.

“We didn’t choose this sphere; rather, it chose us.”

When the first request for a cosmetic patch was received, it became clear that there is much more than just a technical task behind this task. “An almost empty niche opened before us, where there were no established decisions and rules.” So began work on a project that combines technology, design and very personal stories. We haven't stopped since.
In December 2018, the project passed the first combat baptism on the hackathon “Technology of Opportunities”. In 36 hours, the team designed a cosmetic pad on the prosthesis for an unfamiliar participant - and took second place. In 2019, Ccover received a patent, passed the accelerator “90 days Challenge” from Impact Hub Moscow, and by the end of the year – and the first grant for research from the Foundation for the Promotion of Innovation. In 2020, work began on the remote measurement system, a key technology that will later enable the company to work with customers around the world. In 2021, the project became a full-fledged business.
There were many difficulties: from creating demand from scratch to fighting for the possibility of compensating the cost of shells through government mechanisms. But step by step, Ccover has managed to shape a market that didn't exist before.


Why Yaroslavl?
The Ccover team are indigenous Yaroslavl people, and the decision to stay here was conscious.

Of course, there were proposals to move the project to Moscow, but we were able to build business processes so that we could work effectively from the region. For us, Yaroslavl is not only a home, but also a comfortable environment: stable staff, reasonable operating costs and good logistics. Moscow is three hours away, and if necessary, we can always personally attend meetings and federal events.

Manufacturing: technology and craft

Ccover relies on domestic materials and personnel. All plastic is Russian-made, 3D printers are assembled manually on Chinese components. Almost a third of the production process is manual labor.
The main technological feature is the possibility of remote measurements from the prosthesis. This allows you to serve people regardless of their location. All technology is author’s and created from scratch.
The philosophy is powerful and simple: to change the way society treats people with disabilities through design and technology. Therefore, Ccover has not just shells, but design products that can emphasize individuality and become a source of pride.


Founders and team

Today, the company employs 25 people: engineers, prosthetic technicians, managers and specialists in 3D modeling. The team is formed by the company itself - most employees undergo internal training and grow with the project. Here, honesty, attention to detail, desire for development and teamwork are especially appreciated. People are Ccover’s primary resource, and team building is taken no less seriously than technology development.
The management of the company is concentrated in the hands of four founders, each of whom is responsible for a key area:

Dmitry Stenko

Dmitry Stenko is the founder of the project. Responsible for development, marketing and sales of the company. By education, a mechanical engineer, was a postgraduate student of the department "Theoretical Mechanics and Material Resistance" at YSTU, won a number of regional and international competitions, including the Social Impact Award in 2019 with the project "Ccover", is the author of the best social project of the Yaroslavl region in the field of development of technical means of rehabilitation "Personal contour-cover for prosthetic limbs".

Dmitry Skornyakov

Dmitry Skornyakov is Development Director. The best young entrepreneur in 2019 in the nomination “Production”. In 2022, he entered the TOP-100 BRICS entrepreneurs with the Ccover project in the Social nomination. In 2023, he became the winner of GSEA Russia in the nomination “Social Impact” and “Sustainability”, and in 2025 he became the winner of the award “People change the world”.

Artem Khapov is the chief engineer. Laureate of regional and federal competitions in additive manufacturing technologies.

Roman Avdoyan

Roman Avdoyan is the production director. WorldSkills expert in prototyping. Co-founder of the Cosmoiler project and Techno3D.


Each of them invested in the project not only professional skills, but also personal involvement – which is why Ccover remains a team of like-minded people united by a common goal.


New stage: the center of prosthetics and rehabilitation "Stoiko"

In 2025, the company opened the Stoiko Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Yaroslavl, a project that became an important milestone not only for the company, but also for the entire rehabilitation system after amputation in the region. This is an independent site with an area of 500 m2, created from scratch and without state funding. Here, the patient can receive comprehensive turnkey assistance: from initial consultation and manufacturing of a prosthesis to adaptation to it at the school for teaching walking on prostheses, which is also located in the Center.
Stoiko treats up to 70 patients a month, including children and adults, and works with IPRA and federal programs. The focus is not streaming service, but an individual approach, where everyone gets a full recovery route. Among the patients are residents of different regions of Russia, including Moscow, Kostroma and Vologda. One of those who underwent rehabilitation at Stoiko is Hero of Russia Alexei Chagin.
The center cooperates with a number of state and public structures - from the Onf and Rosmolodezhye to the relevant committees of the State Duma and regional funds. Today, Stoiko is not just a medical facility, but an important part of the evolving Ccover ecosystem, where technology, care and recovery are linked together.

Export and development plans

Today, Ccover is a resident of Skolkovo and the winner of dozens of federal competitions, for example, entered the TOP-10 of SCO startups, and also became the winner of the accelerator Innovations in Rehabilitation.
In 2025, the company received a grant from Skolkovo in the amount of 7 million rubles. The plans are to increase capacity, enter the markets of Asia and the Middle East and develop the direction of “cybatletics”.

Made in Yaroslavl. Made for a living

Ccover is not just a production, but a cultural and technological phenomenon. This is an example of how a regional project can create a business that is significant at the federal and international level. But the main thing is not in scale. The main thing is in the people to whom this project returns freedom, confidence and the opportunity to live fully.
