The implementation of the national project "Labor Productivity", which was initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, has been completed at the Rybinsk Instrument-making Plant. This project allowed the plant to increase labor productivity by 30 percent. The work on the project took place for six months with the support of experts from the Federal Competence Center. 71 enterprises of the region participated in the process. Gradually, it was possible to overcome the conservatism of managers and employees of enterprises, which was associated with innovations in production. Thanks to the project, labor productivity has not only increased, but also the involvement of employees in work processes has increased. As part of the project, the manufacture of electricity meters at the Rybinsk plant was chosen as a pilot site to increase labor productivity. The introduction of lean manufacturing tools has reduced the time of the production process by 64%, work in progress by 56%, and increased labor productivity by 28%. If before the project was implemented, 230 meters were produced per day, now 300 meters are produced per shift. Andrey Komogortsev, General Director of RZP JSC, also noted that the first step in the framework of cooperation on the project with the FCC was the training of employees of the enterprise in lean production tools. This made it possible to identify and eliminate waste of time and resources, as well as optimize the organization of the workspace. According to the data, 2,364 employees of enterprises have already been trained in lean manufacturing methods in the region. Participation in the national project is available to enterprises with annual revenues of 400 million rubles and the main type of economic activity in manufacturing, agriculture, transportation and storage, construction or trade.
