Rybinsk plant "Vimpel" launched the border ship "Huys"

The head of the region, Mikhail Evraev, took part in the ceremonial launching of the border patrol vessel of the 4th rank of project 03050, code "Guys". The ship was given the name "Petrel". This is the sixth ship produced by the Rybinsk shipyard "Vimpel", commissioned by the Border Guard Service of the FSB of Russia. Earlier, shipbuilders handed over five boats of this series, which serve in the Black Sea.

- The work on the construction of the ship has been going on for two and a half years. I congratulate everyone on this event, and many thanks to the factory staff for this work! Today, the Yaroslavl Region is one of the leading shipbuilding centers in Russia. As President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin says, Russia has everything necessary for the confident development of shipbuilding. This is a huge experience and developments in this field, a resource and industrial base, and a huge potential of the scientific and design school. And all this is on Yaroslavl land," Mikhail Evraev noted. - We are interested in shipbuilding enterprises developing, wages growing, and products being modern and high-tech.

According to the head of the region, the shipbuilding enterprises of the region - Vimpel, Yaroslavl Shipyard, Parity Center, Rybinsk Shipyard, Nobel Brothers Shipyard - are known far beyond the region, and their products are in demand in both the defense and civil sectors.

The ceremony of launching the new vessel was attended by Vladimir Katyshev, General Director of the Vympel Shipyard, Roman Tolok, Deputy head of the Border Guard Service - Head of the Coast Guard Department of the FSB of Russia, Dmitry Rudakov, head of Rybinsk, Archpriest Pavel Kravchenko, rector of the Ascension of St. George Church, employees of the enterprise and their families.

- Today is a truly significant event not only for the company, its employees, but also for the city, region and even the country. After passing all the tests, this boat will serve and protect the borders of our Homeland together with other boats of this project, which were built at the Vimpel plant," Vladimir Katyshev said. - The work of all employees of the enterprise was invested in this boat, primarily designers, technologists, production workers, builders, planners, support services. Together, we are doing one big and important thing - building ships that protect our territories.

The displacement of the vessel with a length of 30.8 meters is 131 tons, and the width is 6.7 meters. The ship is capable of autonomous navigation for 20 days. According to its tactical and technical characteristics, the vessel meets modern requirements for boats of this class. It is distinguished by high seaworthiness with a relatively small displacement, high speed, comfortable conditions for crew accommodation, and the ability to assist ships in distress. A wide range of possibilities for performing patrol functions in the coastal zone is provided due to effective armament, efficiency, availability of modern equipment, navigation and communications. The designer of the border patrol ship is CJSC "Spetssudoproekt".
