Mikhail Evravev burned the eternal fire in the Park of Victory in Tutayev.

On the Day of the Father ' s Defence, in the Park of Victory, in the left-hand part of Tutayev, the eternal fire was lit by a Tutai landmark who died in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

The ceremony was attended by the Governor of the Yaroslava Region, Mikhail Evraev, members of veterans ' organizations, SVO participants, the city ' s inhabitants.

More than 22,000 Tutayevs defended Rodina on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. Over 5,000 people have not returned from battlefields. Five of the natives of Tutaev land have been awarded the rank of the hero of the Soviet Union. The victory park was created immediately after the war. The whole town took an active part in his building. Since the installation of the " Fire of Slaves " in 1985, combustion has been provided by the imported container gas. This year, work was completed to connect it to centralized gas supply. - In recognition of and respect for heroes, the people built the Park of Victory and participated actively in the building of the monument. And today, he once again appeared in a technically advanced form.

The eternal fire is now connected to a centralized gas supply and will burn permanently as a symbol of our memory as a sign of our unity as an example of the heroism of our people.- noted Michael Evravev- We have more memorials where the seasonal shutdowns of the Eternal Fire occur. Installation of street lighting, surveillance and stoves in pedestrian areas is planned.
