The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation summed up the results of the 3rd stage of the selection of projects under the preferential lending program approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 141. Applications were accepted from December 1, 2023 and ended on February 20, 2024 inclusive. Thanks to the President's decision to expand the limits of the program for the number of rooms from 48 to 59 thousand rooms and the attendance of water parks, year-round amusement parks and ski complexes from 10 to 23 million people, all projects announced by investors that meet the criteria of the competition will be supported.

The Subcommittee on the provision of subsidies from the federal budget in the field of tourism of the Government Commission for the Development of Tourism in the Russian Federation approved the proposals of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation to include borrowers contained in the register of potential borrowers, in the register of potential borrowers of large investment projects, in the register of borrowers.

Based on the results of reviewing the registers of potential borrowers, 189 projects from 55 regions of the country with a total value of about 900 billion rubles were selected. Among them are 167 projects for the creation of hotels and multifunctional complexes (IFC) with a total number of 38.1 thousand rooms. The loan portfolio of such projects will amount to more than 518 billion rubles, and the total cost will be 759 billion rubles. 110 hotels and IFC of category 3 4 stars with 27 thousand rooms and 57 projects of category 5 stars with 11.1 thousand rooms will receive support.

The program also selected 10 projects for the construction of water parks, 9 projects for the creation of infrastructure for ski complexes and 3 projects for the construction of year-round amusement parks. Their total number of visitors is planned at the level of 21.8 million people per year.

The loan portfolio will amount to more than 101 billion rubles, with a total value of about 138 billion rubles.
