Innovators can receive a grant of 3 million rubles to test their own hypothesis
The Innovation Assistance Fund, together with the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, launched the acceptance of applications for the Start-Take-Off competition. The competition is being implemented within the framework of the federal project "Take–off - from startup to IPO", which is supervised by the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Andrey Belousov. Only individuals can participate in the competition, and the amount of support will amount to 3 million rubles without co-financing the project.
"The Start-Up competition is aimed at supporting those who are ready to launch a startup based on their own innovative developments. The winner must register a legal entity and become its head within 30 days. It is the new company that will own the intellectual property created under the grant. In the future, such a company will be able to obtain the status of a "small technology company" and access to preferential state support measures," said Maxim Kolesnikov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
The winners of the competition will conduct applied scientific research and experimental development of their own hypotheses. This will allow you to check the feasibility of the project as a whole and assess the possibility of creating a product in demand on the market at subsequent stages.
The projects are selected in six thematic areas: digital technologies, medicine, new materials and chemical technologies, new devices and intelligent manufacturing technologies, biotechnology and resource-saving energy.
"The Foundation for the Promotion of Innovation has been holding a Start-Take-Off competition for the second year. The first stage of the competition aroused very wide interest – over 1.2 thousand applications were received from 72 regions of the country. In order for the chance to receive a grant of 3 million rubles to be higher, it is necessary to provide an understandable business model, prove the novelty and relevance of the development," said Sergey Polyakov, General Director of the Innovation Assistance Fund.
Applications for the Start-Take-Off competition will be accepted on May 20, 2024.
