Biphenylolpropan (Bisphenol A) is used for about 50 years as a certifier in the manufacture of plastics and products on their basis. It is a key monomer in the production of epoxy resin and polycarbonate plastic. Polycarbonate plastic produces a wide range of products, such as bottles for water and beverages, sports tools, medical instruments, dental records and seals, glass lenses, DD and DVD disks, and household equipment.

The business plan provides for the construction of a production facility 70,000 tons per year bisphenol A (diphenylolpropane technical), which is a raw material for the production of polycarbonate and epoxy resin.

This segment of the consumption of bisphenol is promising in terms of import substitution and potentially increases the total consumption of bisphenol in Russia.
